Start with the right knowledge
A useful home assistant starts with the home itself: its records, its documents and the questions that recur in daily ownership. The Godfrey Home Assistant sits inside the private Owner Housebook so that the surrounding household information has a clear place to live.
Today, the assistant area supports housebook search, source-record navigation and document upload. Search results point to recorded information and research excerpts. They are explicitly search results, not AI-generated answers.
A more natural way to ask
The conversational experience has been built for secure AI activation. Once connected and tested, it is designed to answer questions using house records, inspect supporting attachments, help draft household plans and research vendor contacts when web research is enabled.
Imagine preparing for a service appointment by asking where the relevant warranty details are, then reviewing the original document. Or turning a set of household priorities into a draft plan. These are examples of the intended experience after activation, not claims that live AI is operating now.
Keep the owner in the decision
The assistant’s proposed changes are designed to show a before-and-after view for review. Applying a proposal saves the change; dismissing it leaves the record alone. That keeps the household’s judgment central to the process.
Voice recording and transcription have also been prepared as a turn-based workflow. AI answers, document reasoning, vendor research and voice transcription remain inactive pending the secure connection and live testing.
Make activation part of the introduction
The assistant software is included with the Housebook offering. Discuss account setup, ongoing service costs and activation during the handover. It is not currently connected to home devices and does not book vendors, send messages or carry out maintenance. Its purpose is to help the owner work with the home’s knowledge.
